Participate in engaging activities that develop responsibility and teamwork with opportunities for peer assessment. Barred instruments, drumming activities, recorder beginning activities and other surprises will be explored. Meticulous process will be modeled with detailed notes. Bring your soprano recorder and be prepared to have a great time!

Chris Judah-Lauder teaches fifth through eighth grade music at Good Shepherd Episcopal School in Dallas where she was Teacher of the Year in 2001. She has served on the American Orff Schulwerk Association National Board as a Regional Representative, Local Conference Co-chair and recently served as a National Conference Chair for the 2009 National AOSA in Milwaukee. She is a composer and an active national clinician. Chris teaches at Orff Levels Training courses, staff development conferences and presents workshops for “children’s music in church.” Chris has presented at seven National Orff Conferences and many state MEA and national MENC conferences. Chris also directs three middle school music ensembles that have been featured at international and international conferences including 1995 National AOSA opening session. Her publications include Spotlight on Music (Macmillan/McGraw), to drum, Canya Conga?, Fun with Boomwhackers®, Hand Drums on the Move, Boom Boom Classic, Boom Boom Holiday Fun, Keeping It Simple, Sounds n’ Beats, Hands on Recorder Bk 2, Recorder Games. Chris also has a video presentation on “Hand Drums and More” available from the American Orff Schulwerk Association library.
