Good Morning South Florida Orff!
I’m getting ready to start the day at the AOSA National Conference. If you’ve never been to a National Conference I wanted to give you a snapshot of what a day can look like.
Here is my day today. Items in italics will will be notes from me.
6:30-7:30 am: Morning Movement Meditation (Optional)
8:00-9:15 am Session 1 (Sessions are your choice. When you register for the conference you select which sessions you would like to attend.)
9:45-11:00 am: Session 2
12:00-12:30 pm: Graham Road Percussion (Concert for all attendees)
12:30-1:45 pm: Session 3
2:15-3:30 pm: Session 4 (I’m attending a President’s meeting)
4:00-5:30 pm: Welcome Ceremony! (Here we listen to special messages from keynote speakers, watch a performance, and each chapter president carries the banner/flag) from their chapter across the stage. It’s wonderful to see all of the chapters all over the country)
5:30-7:30 Exhibitors’ Sneak Preview (There are vendors from all over the country showcasing their products)
9:00 pm: Midnight Historical Society, You Can Play Ukulele, Be My Neighbor (These are optional sessions that are all about making music with your colleagues. I’m going to learn to play the ukulele tonight…well, try… ).
I hope you have a great day today!
