Announcing: South Florida Orff Workshop with Lisa Hewitt

The South Florida Orff Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association and District #1 of the Florida Elementary Music Educator’s Association invite you to attend their combined October 6th workshop with Lisa Hewitt. Lisa is an Elementary Music Specialist, grades K-5 including Chorus and Orff Ensembles, for Westbrooke Elementary in the Orange County Public Schools, Orlando, Florida.
Lisa is a member of Central Florida Orff Chapter in which she is an inaugural member and has served as Treasurer, Secretary, President-elect, and President. She established the Mary T. Gibson Scholarship Fund for Teacher Training and is the course co-coordinator for summer Orff Schulwerk Teacher Education at the University of Central Florida. Her undergraduate degree was obtained at Stetson University, DeLand, Florida. She completed Orff Schulwerk training at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Lisa is a multiple year recipient of Teacher of the Year 1994, 1998, 2004, and 2009. Lisa is one of AOSA’s Region IV Representatives. Her workshop will focus on arts integration and other best practices using the Orff Process.
