Amazing Resources!

Facebook isn’t just a social media.  I eagerly check it out several times a day for posts from music teachers around the country.  The most amazing group is AOSA (American Orff Schulwerk Association).  If you’re not a member, I highly recommend you check it out at http://aosa.org.  Music teachers post questions and share ideas daily.  Most recently, Kristine McDonald asked for input on folk dances teachers use.  Based on the responses, she compiled an excellent spreadsheet of folk dances by grade level and has given permission to share on our site.  As soon as I figure out how to do it, I’ll share!

Another FB benefit are daily freebies and/or bargain music resources from sites like Lindsay Kodaly’s Inspired Classroom, The Music Empowers Foundation, music teachers like Denise Gagne, Tim Wiegand, and more!

Happy summer from your “learn as I go” SFOC president, Liese Connell

  1. I am not an Orff teacher, just a grandma hoping to find Orff classes for my granddaughter in Fort Myers. I did not find a Facebook page for Orff. If you have a link, please share. Thank you for all your wonderful posts.

  2. Here is the file attached. Does that help?
